TIHAN is a volunteer based privately funded 501-(c)(3) charity dependent on individuals and organizations to help those afflicted with HIV/AIDS as well as promote education through many different faith communities.
Treasures for TIHAN is a major fundraising event to support the programs of Tucson Interfaith HIV/AIDS Network. Now is the ninth year. This event has a remarkable history of increasing success, and still a tremendous potential for additional growth.
In 1997, a group of committed friends gathered together to discuss ways to raise funds to sustain the services increasingly demanded from TIHAN. The idea for Treasures for TIHAN was born, and in February 1998, a small loosely-organized auction at St. Phillips in the Hills Episcopal Church raised an impressive $3800. In 2005, the 8th Annual Treasures for TIHAN benefit raised over $85,000.
Not only is it our largest event of the year and the biggest-revenue producer for our programs, Treasures for TIHAN is an elegant event that attracts several hundred generous donors from throughout the community. Mirroring the success of TIHANs programs in reaching out to serve those in need, the events reputation continues to expand as well.
